She is an independent contractor not an employee, thus she is individually responsible for all aspects of client care. She is independently insured and manages his own practice. Rhea contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, administration and office space.
Rhea earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University and then a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. Rhea uses a tailored approach to best accommodate each of her clients, incorporating a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Traditional Talk Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural Counseling, and Play Therapy for her younger clients. She prioritizes building rapport, trust, and understanding with her clients and brings a warm, compassionate, and gently humorous energy to her sessions.
Rhea has experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, and young adults experiencing concerns with ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal skills. Rhea interned at The Emily Program learning to assess and treat multiple Eating disorders via individual and group therapy. She has also provided parent coaching and therapy for parents who may be struggling with the challenges of raising neurodiverse children. Rhea strives to help clients raise self-awareness, confidence, and to bring out their inner strength to overcome any obstacles they are facing. As a first-generation Indian American, she also enjoys supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures and approaches counseling in an affirming and respectful way.
In her spare time, Rhea enjoys spending time with her one-year-old daughter and husband, reading thrillers, gaming, and taking her three rescue dogs for walks (and her cat, if he will allow it).
Offering both in-person and virtual sessions, Rhea ensures flexible care.
