Taylor Meadows, LCMHCA
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
Taylor is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) providing mental health services to children, teens and young adults. She has special interest in children and teens, supporting them in their journey or processing trauma, maintaining healthy relationships, and emotional regulation. She is an independent contractor not an employee, thus she is individually responsible for all aspects of client care. She is independently insured and manages her own practice. Taylor contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, administration and office space.
Taylor earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Lynchburg 2022. She then pursued her Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg in 2025. She obtained licensure as an LCMHC-A through the North Carolina licensing board. Taylor has experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adult individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation.
Taylor believes that every client responds to a different approach and deserves individualized care. She is trained and supervised in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at MACS and works in collaboration with the DBT team. She practices DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Techniques, Play Therapy for younger clients, and Person-Centered Therapy. She believes that for therapy to be effective and successful, the client must feel comfortable not only in the therapeutic space but also with their clinician. Taylor believes that creating a strong and trusting relationship with a client is beneficial to the therapeutic process. She enjoys working with clients to create and reach their individual goals in an environment that is free of judgment and where support is unconditional.
In her personal time, Taylor enjoys reading, going to concerts, and baking.
Taylor accepts Aetna, BCBS, Out of Network, and Self Pay. Taylor sees clients in person and virtually with after-school and evening availability.
