Grace Reynolds, LCMHCA
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
Grace is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) providing person-centered mental health services primarily to adolescents and adults. She is an independent contractor not an employee, thus she is individually responsible for all aspects of client care. She is independently insured and manages her own practice. Grace contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, administration and office space.
Grace earned her Bachelors degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 2021. After working as a Head Start teacher and as a volunteer in her community, she discovered a need for increased mental health services for all ages. She then pursued her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. Throughout her Master's program and after graduation, Grace worked for a local community services board providing mental health services to adults in a group home setting. Throughout her time in this position, she provided therapy for individuals who were experiencing intense and complex mood changes, unusual thoughts or perceptions, and difficulties related to both mental health and substance use.
In addition to clients with serious mental health diagnosis', Grace has experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, adjustment, grief and loss, and trauma. She is also experienced and comfortable with clients of all ages and backgrounds with her accepting and non-judgemental beliefs.
Grace typically utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy- DBT as is a member of our DBT Team. She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy approaches in her work. These allow for sessions to be focused on the client's individual and unique goals, while providing effective strategies and skills to assist them improve functioning and insight throughout the process.
Grace's approach is compassionate, practical and focused on helping client's regain stability, strengthen coping skills, and build a life that feels meaningful. She believes that empathy and understanding are at the forefront of a strong therapeutic relationship respecting her client's individuality while providing support and a safe place for clients throughout their therapeutic journey.
Grace accepts Aetna, BCBS, Out of Network, Self Pay and FHA/HSA payments.
Grace sees virtually on Mondays through Friday.
