Jennifer Macchia, MA, NCC, LCMHCS

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor & Certified Play Therapist

Jennifer Macchia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) who works with adults. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Play Therapy from UNC Charlotte in 2013.

 

Jennifer specializes in the treatment of grief and loss and trauma, and also works with anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and depression. She has advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach used to address deep emotional wounds and support lasting healing. Jennifer is DBT-informed and incorporates skills to help clients build emotional regulation and resilience. She is also certified in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) and can integrate clients’ spiritual beliefs into treatment when desired.

 

She  is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and welcomes supervisees who are working toward full licensure.

 

Jennifer practices as an independent contractor and is solely responsible for all aspects of her clients’ care. She maintains her own professional liability insurance and independently manages her clinical practice. She contracts with MACS, PLLC for marketing, billing, and office space.

 

Her integrative approach honors the complexity of each client, blending evidence-based tools to support meaningful changes in thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

She is at the Mint Hill office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and works in 

Plaza Midwood onWednesdays and Fridays
