Lauren White, LCMHCA

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate​

 

Lauren White is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate providing therapy to clients ages 17 and older. She is an Independent Contractor, not an employee, and is individually responsible for all aspects of her clients’ care. Lauren is independently insured and manages her own practice. She contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, administration, and office space, and practices under the supervision of her approved LCMHC Supervisor.

Lauren earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Service Studies from Queens University of Charlotte, followed by her Master's degree in Education with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University. She has experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients, postpartum challenges, self-esteem, women's issues, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Lauren strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to process emotions, explore their past, and develop effective coping and emotional regulation skills.

Believing that each client is unique, Lauren tailors her therapeutic approach to meet individual needs. She integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into her practice. Lauren values building a strong therapeutic relationship, collaborating with clients to identify goals, and supporting meaningful, sustainable progress.  Lauren is receiving DBT Adherent Training and is a part of our DBT Treatment Team.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her pup—activities that inspire balance, curiosity, and compassion in both her personal and professional life.

 

Lauren currently accepts self-pay clients, Aetna, BCBS, Meritian, Medcost, Out of Network and HSA/FHA payments. Lauren sees clients virtually and in person.
