Kaitlyn Miller, MSW, LCSWA

Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate

Kaitlyn earned her bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and then earned a master's degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Kaitlyn uses a person-centered approach and caters her work with clients based on individual needs. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other models as needed.

 

Her previous experience includes working with adolescents and adults through life transitions, identity conflict, and traumatic experiences. The bulk of Kaitlyn's experience has been working with the LGBTQIA+ population, and she remains particularly passionate about serving this community. Additionally, Kaitlyn has a special interest in working with those impacted by sexual abuse and image-based sexual abuse. Outside of her clincial work with clients, Kaitlyn is a fierce advocate for those impacted by image-based sexual abuse, being invited as a panelist/moderator at national cyber sexual abuse conferences and serviing as expert reviewer for a handbook created by The National Forum on the Prevention of Cyber Sexual Abuse.

 

She has clinical experience working in outpatient mental health settings with individuals with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, disabilities, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among other diagnoses. She aims to support clients in embracing aspects of who they are as they develop coping skills to more effectively navigate their everyday lives.

 

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her dog, spending time at the beach or near any body of water, reading, writing, and traveling.

Her office hours are by appointment only Monday- Friday.
