Madeline Cook, MSW, LCSWA

Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate

Madeline is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) providing mental health services to Children ages (5-12), Adolescents (13-17), and Adults. She is an independent contractor not an employee, thus she is individually responsible for all aspects of client care, however she practices under the supervision of her approved LCSW supervisor. She is independently insured and manages her own practice. Madeline contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, and office space.

Madeline graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. She continued to pursue her education and received her Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health in 2019 also at the University of South Carolina. 

 

Madeline works to strengthen and enhance the well-being of others. Madeline's role is to assist you in reaching whatever goals you may have for yourself by providing nonjudgmental support and helping to facilitate your journey, whatever form it may take. 

Madeline uses a variety of therapeutic interventions depending on the client’s needs as she believes that each person is unique, as is his or her needs. She is skilled in using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy interventions, as well as incorporating Trauma-Informed Approaches when needed there. Madeline will be trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in the near future. 

Madeline has a background in residential settings and other mental health community based treatment facilities, offering both individual and group therapy services. She is experienced with working with the LGBTQ+ community, children, teens, and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, or those who may be experiencing major life changes. 

In her free time, Madeline can be found with her two fur babies, visiting family and friends, crafting, or enjoying the great outdoors.
