Reggie Young, MSW, LCSWA
Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate
Reggie is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) providing person-in environment-centered mental health services to children ages (6-12), Adolescents (13-17), and Adults. He is an independent contractor not an employee, thus he is individually responsible for all aspects of client care, however, he practices under the supervision of her approved LCSW supervisor. He is independently insured and manages his own practice. Reggie contracts with MACS PLLC for marketing, billing, and office space.
Reggie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Social work along with a minor in Addiction from Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. He then went on and received a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Louisiana with a focus on Clinical Practice
Reggie is a Navy Veteran who served two tours in Iraq and believes Everyone has the right to be happy. His mission is to inspire clients to grow personally and emotionally. He believes that therapy is a collaborative effort between the individuals and the therapist. Change is possible with understanding and empathy, and the right tools. When a client is an active participant in his or her treatment and is committed to applying the knowledge gained through their therapy session to life, positive and powerful changes can happen.
Reggie has a background in the behavioral health hospital setting and community-based treatment facilities specifically providing intensive in-home and outpatient services. Reggie has engaged adolescents and adults in individual, group, and family therapy and has experience in addressing mental health and behavioral needs such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, aggression, PTSD, trauma, and substance abuse.
Reggie approach is using a variety of therapeutic interventions depending on the client’s needs. Among the solution-oriented treatments he draws from are Traditional talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy, motivational interviewing, and the uses of psychosocial development theory. Reggie is part of the MACS DBT team and is being trained and supervised in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Reggie accepts Aetna, BCBS, CBHA, Medcost, MHN, Out of Network, and Self Pay.
His office hours are Monday- Saturday by appointment only.
