Mare Licitra, LCSWA
Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate
Mare Licitra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) committed to providing impactful therapy for children (ages 5–12), adolescents (ages 13–17), and adults. Her warm and affirming presence fosters a safe and inclusive environment for healing and self-discovery. As an independent contractor with MACS PLLC, she manages all aspects of client care under the supervision of an approved LCSW supervisor.
She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2025 and holds Clinical Social Work and Trauma-Informed Care certifications. Her clinical training includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she is currently pursuing additional training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
She has experience supporting clients from the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and individuals facing obstacles such as anxiety and depression. Mare believes therapy can empower clients to surmount life’s challenges and manage emotions. Her approach centers on the client’s resiliency and self-compassion.
Offering both in-person and virtual sessions, Mare ensures flexible care. Outside work, she enjoys yoga, reading, crafting, and spending quality time with loved ones. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions to ensure flexible, accessible care.
